What We Believe

  • Oceanview Fellowship is a local Christian church centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in the authority of Scripture. We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living. Everything we teach and practice flows from God’s revealed truth and His grace.

    Oceanview Fellowship is affiliated with the Charis Fellowship of Churches, a family of like-minded churches connected by shared biblical doctrine and a commitment to grace-centered ministry. While each church is locally led and self-governing, we hold common core beliefs that unite us in faith and mission.

  • God
    We believe in one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfect in love, holiness, and truth.

    Jesus Christ
    Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died in our place for sin, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory.

    The Holy Spirit
    The Holy Spirit is fully God and actively at work today. He convicts the world of sin, gives new life to those who believe, and empowers believers to grow, serve, and live in obedience to Christ.

    The Bible
    The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is trustworthy, true, and authoritative, revealing God’s character, His purposes, and His plan of salvation.

    Humanity
    All people are created in the image of God and deeply valued by Him. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and unable to restore that relationship apart from His grace.

    Salvation
    Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His finished work, we are forgiven, made new, and given eternal life.

    The Church
    The Church is the body of Christ made up of all believers. Local churches gather for worship, spiritual growth, fellowship, and mission, living out the love of Jesus and following Him through discipleship in their communities and throughout the world.

    Christian Life
    Followers of Jesus are called to live transformed lives. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, believers grow in Christlikeness, pursue holiness, love others well, and reflect Jesus in every area of life.

    Future Hope
    We believe in the resurrection of the dead, eternal life for those who trust in Christ, and the ultimate victory of God over sin and death. Jesus will return, and all things will be made new.

  • We are a church committed to knowing Jesus personally and walking with Him faithfully. Discipleship is more than information or programs it is a lifelong journey of learning, obedience, and transformation shaped by God’s Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
